非政府组织人权网络 (REDHO) 最近发起呼吁，对刚果民主共和国 (DRC) 立法选举候选人涉嫌欺诈和腐败的案件伸张正义。这一要求是在国家独立选举委员会（CENI）取消某些候选人获得的选票之后提出的。
REDHO 协调员 Muhindo Wasivinywa 表示，司法当局必须负责这些案件，并利用 CENI 掌握的证据，以便根据刚果法律审判被指控的肇事者。该非政府组织认为，对这些事实进行公开审判可以作为一个例子，并有助于打击选举舞弊。
REDHO 还呼吁 CENI 在多个地区和省份展开调查，因为全国各地已报告了大量欺诈报告。该组织表示，教育试验将提高公众对选举舞弊后果的认识，并增强对选举进程的信心。
全国选举委员会决定取消某些候选人因舞弊和腐败而获得的选票，不仅涉及立法选举，还涉及某些选区的省市选举。受影响的选区包括奎卢省的马西马宁巴和北乌班吉省的雅科马，这些选区的国家和省级立法选举被取消。
REDHO 倡议强调了保证选举公正性和惩罚欺诈和腐败行为的重要性。通过加强执法和建立公平审判，刚果民主共和国有望恢复公众对其选举制度的信心，从而有助于巩固该国的民主。
